Some of you may have already heard the story of Janice Braden's nightmare through the cbc coverage. The story is all to common but it never stops being upsetting to those who go through it. Here is the story of how we at Alchemy Renovations got involved.
To put it bluntly Janice was ripped off by a contractor. He took a large down payment, came in and tore her home apart, and never returned. Janice was left in a situation where she could not afford to start from scratch with a new contractor, and her home was in shambles. How someone could do this I have no idea, at the very least why tear the place apart first if you are going to take the money and run!
Fortunately for Janice, she met Sara Wheelwright the owner and founder of Trusted Saskatoon . Sara banded together the many, many partners who work with Trusted Saskatoon to donate their time and resources to help Janice recoup, and as it turns out surpass, what she lost.
We were very eager to get involved when we heard Janice's story. Over the next year J.A.B.A construction lead the team in this massive undertaking. Through working with their foreman, we were informed of the need to have all the finishing trim installed.
Konrad and Thayne showed up at the house and got the job done right. Finishing rooms properly can make all the difference. People may not notice when it is done right but you sure can tell when it's done wrong. It was a pleasure for us to meet Janice and her daughter later on, and see how over-whelmed and thankful they were to have their home restored for them.
Here is Janice's testimony of all the hard work from so many great companies here is saskatoon. To hear about Alchemy Renovations go to 9:44.
